Customer Service A++. I bought a rip racer for my 14 year old son to commute back and forth to school. He ABSOLUTELY loves the bike. Assembly was easy and the bike is sporty with a great travel range. The most important thing to me is customer service. A little over a week ago the bike was involved in a crash and I worked with Greg to help me identify the parts I needed. Just because the parts aren't listed for sale on the merchandise screen doesn't mean they do not have the parts available, they simply need to identify your bike to ensure you get the right parts. I also called because I had additional questions and Greg answered on the first ring and remembered our correspondence! They sent me the parts I needed and included a video on how to install the parts! The parts arrived within a few days, not weeks!!! Great bike, not so great brakes. I love my yellow RipRacer. Fun design, great power & speed. It’s the perfect around-town commuter. The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is that the brakes are so horrible that they almost ruin the experience. I changed to resin pads that I picked up on Amazon. That solved the front, but the back still squeals. On top of that, the brake pad backing has to be filed down to fit in the calipers because of the poor fit. It’s definitely a problem with the calipers since the pads are a universal size. Still though, I love the bike. I would have gladly paid an extra hundred for higher quality brake compartments

Range & speed. Hi, we have a JB Rip Current S step through. This is my wife's "bike." She has a separate seat post & wide seat for her. I have my own post & road saddle. I'm 68. I once was a 4.5 hr Century road cyclist. After 2 gravel rides on the RC in the 50-52 mile range at 19-20 mph in Level 1, I wanted to really test the battery. So I created a 66 mile road course. On 13 Nov '23, I rode 61.3 miles in Level 1, averaging 20.6mph. It was a windy day & the course had lots of turns & road crossings. On a straight smooth road with minimal stops, returning with the wind, it probably can make 65-70 miles in Level 1 at 20+ mph. LOL. That'll be the next test. BTW: under my own power I rode the last 5 miles home at 13-15mph. This is a great Class 3 bike! 5*.

Very Pleased with my purchase of the RipCurrent S. purchased the RipCurrent S in late June but held off on writing this review until I had the opportunity to get in rides of 25 miles or greater. I now have 320 miles on the bike and it has exceeded my expectations. The bike shipment, delivery, packaging, and assembly were spot on. The break in period of riding around the neighborhood, acclimation the control and display, etc. went well except for the brake pads, which although seated properly were very loud. A call to the Juiced Support Team, quick shipment and 15 minute installation of new organic pads corrected the noise issue. I purchased and installed the performance upgrade kit but have since reinstalled the original controller. The upgraded controller zapped the battery life and there was a definite lag in the peddle assist if I wasn’t pushing fast enough. I’d rather ride further than a few miles faster. Too bad the brake light assembly does not come standard, it’s a nice feature. I have friends and family with other fat tire E-Bikes from different manufacturers and I have to say that the Juiced RipCurrent S is not only sleeker but outperforms the others in most categories, including price. Looking forward to many rides throughout all seasons
